Please would those of you who are admitting patients to AGM on take include the creation of an eIDD document for the patient as part of your admission workup. These only take a few seconds to create, and very little extra time to enter details of the presenting complaint, and this will save time later.
For technical reasons an eIDD that is created after a patient has been discharged cannot be sent automatically to the GP, so it is especially important to create the eIDD on admission when it is likely the patient will be discharged quickly.
